Workshops 
Throughout the year a number of workshops are held both at the studio and out in the local countryside. Workshops are typically limited in numbers and therefore pre-registration is required.

Let's Have a Ball

Saturday, February 4th, 2012

10:00am to 12:30pm

$35.00+hst


 Join us and laugh away the "Winter Blahs" with this 2 1/2 hour workshop that includes Yoga on the Ball and Laughter Yoga.  Participation is limited to 10 people ~ Contact the studio to save your space!


Workshop will be held at the studio - if you have an exercise ball, please bring it with you.

- Saturday, March 3rd, 10:00am-12:30pm ~ $35+hst
 
  • An introduction to the Chakra System - learn how the energetic fields of the body impact on our yoga practice and all aspects of life.  An introduction to yogic philosophy.  No experience necessary.

*Note there is an additional $5 (approximate) entrance fee to the park.  If you are a Bruce Trail member bring your pass along for free admittance. 


In the event of rain the voice message at the studio will be changed to indicate whether or not the hike is canceled - those who have pre-registered will be contacted directly.

For YOGA+HIKING.

  • We will start with a standing/breathing meditation
  • We will hike for approximately 2.5 km along the escarpment
  • Followed by a 30-45 minute yoga practice
  • After a short break and snack, we will hike back to the parking lot
  • We will end with a final yoga stretch and closing circle 
  • Standing and breathing meditations will be interspersed throughout the morning

 

Ellen de Guerre is a certified 500-hour yoga teacher and an experienced hiker who is inspired by the outdoors and realizes the importance of getting back to nature to reduce stress in our busy lives.   Join us for an exciting workshop combining your love of yoga with your love of the outdoors! 


 What to Bring

  • Sturdy hiking footwear  
  • Comfortable loose clothing suitable for yoga and hiking
  • Towel to do yoga on
  • Water and snacks

 Hiking Level of Difficulty

  • A fairly comfortable hike approximately 5 kilometres in total with some hills and rocky terrain – the pace will be slow to medium with time for rests in between.
